Trina Turk began her contemporary women’s line in 1997, which was quickly picked up by Barney’s New York, Fred Segal and Saks Fifth Avenue. With the California sunshine and classic silhouettes as her inspiration, Turk made her name for herself in the fashion world with wholesale sales reaching over $40 million in 2007. Having every “it” girl wearing her designs wasn’t enough, Trina wanted them to also live in her colorful prints and girlish charm, so in May of 2008 she launched Trina Turk Residential next to her flagship store in Palm Springs.
